What I eat in a day for the week of January 10, 2021! Keto foods to eat on the ketogenic diet!
In the YouTube Video below, I will discuss what I eat in a day doing Keto OMAD for the week of January 10, 2021!
I will also present the foods I eat on a ketogenic diet!
At the end of the video, I will give an update on my Keto OMAD Ketogenic weight loss journey!
In July of 2019 I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. My A1C was 6.3 and my weight was 280 pounds.
On Sunday January 10, 2021, my weight was 218 pounds. My total weight loss on my journey is 62 pounds! My A1C is now 5.7!
In order for me to lose weight and keep my blood sugar under control, I normally implement a one meal a day (OMAD)!
I try to keep my total carbohydrates to 50 grams or less. This way of eating seems to be the best for my body to keep my fasting blood sugar under control!
Every morning when I get up I always check my fasting blood sugar and ketone readings!
The blood glucose meter that I use is the Contour NEXT EZ Diabetes Testing Kit!
The blood ketone meter that I use is the KetoBM Blood Ketone Meter Kit!
Listed below is what my fasting blood sugar and ketone readings were and what I ate for each day of the week!
On Sunday morning my fasting blood sugar was 92 and my fasting ketones was 2.0!
I picked up my one meal a day meal at RibCrib BBQ in Centerton, Arkansas!
I ordered their Chopped Brisket! I always order their chopped brisket with extra fat!
This meal was really good!
I enjoy eating at this BBQ restaurant. In order to eat Keto at this restaurant be sure to drink water or unsweetened tea or coffee!
Stay away from all breads and potatoes! If you have any sauce just go with buffalo sauce not bbq sauce!
On Monday morning my fasting blood sugar was 85 and my fasting ketones was 2.8! I was very pleased with these numbers especially with my blood sugar number!
On Monday afternoon I ate my one meal a day meal at Village Inn in Bentonville, Arkansas!
I ordered their scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage! I really enjoy having breakfast foods for my ketogenic one meal a day!
Please remember when you breakfast foods stay away from biscuits, toast, hashbrowns and orange juice!
On Tuesday morning my fasting blood sugar was 94 and my fasting ketones was 3.6! I was very pleased with these numbers especially with my ketone number!
On Tuesday afternoon I ate my one meal a day meal at Red Robin in Rogers, Arkansas!
I ordered 2 gourmet beef patties with blue cheese crumbles and a caesar salad with extra caesar dressing and no croutons!
What makes this really good is the blue cheese crumbles!
On Wednesday morning my fasting blood sugar was 93 and my fasting ketones was 3.4! I was very pleased with these numbers especially with my ketone number!
On Wednesday I ate my one meal a day meal at Longhorn Steakhouse in Rogers, Arkansas!
I ordered a nice 12 ounce ribeye steak and a caesar salad with extra caesar dressing and no croutons!
I really like the way they season their ribeye steaks!
On Thursday morning my fasting blood sugar was 86 and my fasting ketones was 3.2! I was very pleased with these numbers especially with my blood glucose number!
On Thursday afternoon I ate my one meal a day meal at Olive Garden in Rogers, Arkansas!
I ordered the grilled salmon with a side of broccoli and a salad with Italian dressing and no croutons!
To eat keto at Olive Garden be sure to stay away from all pasta dishes and especially the bread sticks!
On Friday morning my fasting blood sugar was 91 and my fasting ketones was 3.0! I was very pleased with these numbers especially with my blood sugar number!
On Friday afternoon I ate my one meal a day meal at Catfish Hole in Fayetteville, Arkansas!
I ordered the fried catfish and fried shrimp with a side of green beans!
On Saturday morning my fasting blood sugar was 88 and my fasting ketones was 2.4! I was very pleased my blood sugar number because of at fried catfish and shrimp on Friday!
I started my fast after I ate lunch on Friday afternoon! I did not eat anything until lunch on Sunday!
The total hour fast was 48 hours! It is good for your blood sugar numbers to do a 48 hour fast every now and then!
Weight Loss This Week: 3 Pounds!
Total Weight Loss: 65 Pounds!
Best Fasting Blood Sugar: 85! Best Fasting Ketones: 3.6!
